Best business books
Introduction
A good business book can set you apart from your peers. It can inspire you to become more productive, grow your company, and achieve success in ways that would have never been possible before. And when it comes to business books, there are few better than those written by the world’s most successful entrepreneurs and executives.
The Lean Startup
The Lean Startup: How Today’s Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Businesses by Eric Ries
The Lean Startup is a book about building a successful business. It is not a book about how to create the perfect product or service, but rather it teaches you how to build an organization that can grow rapidly and adapt quickly. The idea behind this concept is that instead of building products or services and then selling them, one should learn as much as possible before building anything at all so that there can be no surprises once your startup launches.
Influence
One of the best books on persuasion is Robert Cialdini‘s Influence. In it, he explores the psychology of persuasion and how to apply it in business, politics, sales and many other areas.
The book offers insights into how people can be persuaded to do things they didn’t think they could or would want to do. For example, if someone gives you a pen after you’ve signed a contract (the classic “free gift”), then your perception of that person goes up even though they haven’t given you anything—it’s just because they gave you something before asking for something in return. The same principle applies when someone asks if you have five minutes before trying to sell something: once again, by not asking for anything straightaway but giving first (by taking time out of their busy schedule), people become more likely to make purchases from them later down the line.
The Intelligent Investor
This book is a classic, and it’s one that you’ll want to read. The Intelligent Investor was written by Benjamin Graham, and first published in 1949. It’s the most influential book on value investing ever written. In simple terms, Graham offers up a framework for how investors can identify companies that are underpriced—and then profit from their investments once those prices rise (or fall). This book is a must-read for all investors: whether you’re new to investing or an old pro at it—and even if you’re not an investor at all!
This book has stood the test of time; it’s been revised numerous times since its original publication date over 70 years ago. In fact, I’m currently reading my second edition copy that was published in 1986!
Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future
This book is about Elon Musk, the self-made billionaire and visionary who founded SpaceX and Tesla. It’s also about his risk taking and workaholic tendencies. This book explores how Elon Musk became one of the most influential CEOs in today’s business world, despite having no formal education in engineering or business.
Sales Management – Simplified
Sales Management – Simplified, written by a sales manager and self-help author, is a straightforward, easy-to-read guide to managing your sales team. Covering everything from hiring the right people to improving their performance and closing deals, it provides all the information you need in order to become an expert at this crucial part of business.
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People is a classic for a reason: It’s based on Carnegie’s experience as a salesman and uses his real-world experiences in its advice. The book is a guide on how to handle people, so if you’re trying to impress anyone or get anything done, it will help you out.
The best part about this book? It’s still relevant today! In fact, it was published in 1937—but sales have increased steadily ever since then. Today, over 15 million copies are sold every year!
If you’re looking for some light reading that will teach you some useful skills along the way (or just make your day), consider picking up this bestseller. You can find all sorts of editions online or at your local bookstore; they come in paperback editions as well as audio versions narrated by celebrities such as Alec Baldwin and Barbara Walters
